Travel with Edit presents books written by Edit Juhászné Fodor. The author credit is separate from the identity of the website operator. Visitors do not need to create an account to read the website.
2. Information processed when you visit
The website is hosted using ChatGPT Sites, provided by OpenAI. Delivering and securing pages can involve technical information such as your IP address, requested pages, access times, browser and device characteristics, error information and security signals. The hosting and security infrastructure may also place or read cookies.
The purposes of essential website delivery and protection against misuse are website operation and security. Where personal data is processed for these purposes, our lawful basis under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website, subject to the applicable balancing of interests. This GDPR basis does not replace any separate consent required under cookie or electronic-privacy laws.

Built-in website statistics
ChatGPT Sites automatically records website traffic and provides the site operator with statistics about unique visitors and page views over time. We use these statistics to understand overall readership and improve the website.
We have not added a separate marketing analytics script to the website source reviewed. The platform's underlying measurement methods, technical identifiers and data-retention periods have not been independently confirmed. In particular, we have not established whether the __Host-appgarden-visitor cookie is connected to these statistics or whether its use requires prior consent. Cloudflare security-verification cookie used after a security challenge. Its expiry depends on the configuration in use and has not been independently verified for this site.

A visitor-related cookie associated with ChatGPT Sites. Its specific purpose, essential status and duration have not yet been confirmed by the provider.
This is a record of what we observed, not a guarantee that no other cookies or technical requests can occur. No separate advertising or marketing analytics script was identified in the website source reviewed, but that does not exclude processing by the hosting or security infrastructure.

Our guide finder asks you to select a destination, trip length and travel preference. The reviewed website code calculates an informational book recommendation locally in your browser and does not request your name or email address. No application-level request sending those selections to an independent analytics service was identified in the source review. Normal browser requests to the hosting service may nevertheless occur.
The finder does not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you.
5. Emails and enquiries
If you email info@ajandekotlettar.hu, we receive and use your address, the contents of your message and any details you voluntarily include to answer your question and deal with any appropriate follow-up.
For ordinary enquiries, this processing is generally based on our legitimate interest in handling correspondence (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where you request steps towards a contract, Article 6(1)(b) may apply. Legal obligations and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims can require different processing and retention arrangements.
The mailbox is accessed through LevélCenter / Roundcube, with email-hosting services provided by MediaCenter Hungary Kft. Its published General Terms and Conditions, section 12, describe its data-processing role in relation to customer-stored personal data.
Our internal policy is to review and remove ordinary Travel with Edit enquiry emails from active folders no later than 12 months after the last substantive exchange, unless a specific contractual, accounting, legal or claims-related reason requires longer retention. This is a manual review procedure; no automatic deletion of Travel with Edit enquiries has been enabled. Shop orders, invoices and records subject to other retention duties are treated separately.
After deletion from active folders: MediaCenter confirmed by email on 15 October 2026 that an IMAP message placed in the server-side Trash folder is deleted from that folder after 30 days. This means removal from active folders does not necessarily mean that every server copy disappears on the same date. The precise retention of deleted messages within backups for this mailbox has not been confirmed. The provider's published privacy notice states that incoming and outgoing mail traffic logs are retained for 7 days; these are technical logs, not copies of the message contents.
Please do not send sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.
6. Retailer and affiliate links
The website links to external retailers and travel partners, including Amazon, Kiwitaxi, Airalo, Radical Storage and Klook. Some are affiliate links: we may receive a commission for qualifying transactions, as explained in our Affiliate Disclosure.
When you follow an external link, the destination provider handles its own website, payments, bookings, cookies and privacy practices under its published terms. Some affiliate partners may provide transaction or referral reports relating to qualifying purchases. We do not collect payment-card details through Travel with Edit's current pages.
7. Providers, recipients and international transfers
The main services involved in operating the site and answering enquiries are OpenAI (website hosting), the security infrastructure used by the hosting platform (including Cloudflare technology observed during browser testing), and MediaCenter Hungary Kft. (email hosting). Authorised professional advisers and public authorities may receive information where legally required or necessary to exercise legal rights.
We do not represent that ChatGPT Sites technical data is processed exclusively in Hungary or the European Economic Area. International transfers, where applicable, must comply with the relevant contractual and legal safeguards. OpenAI's published Sites Data Processing Addendum describes its transfer arrangements for data covered by that agreement.
8. How long is information kept?
Ordinary enquiry correspondence is handled under the 12-month active-folder review and removal policy above, subject to documented exceptions. Messages then moved into the IMAP server-side Trash are subject to MediaCenter's stated 30-day deletion period in that folder. The precise period for residual email backup copies has not been established, and we do not promise that all copies disappear exactly 12 months after the last exchange.
The retention periods for hosting and security records are governed by the relevant service provider's arrangements and the purpose of the records. We do not state a single fixed number of days for all ChatGPT Sites technical logs because this has not been established for this website.
9. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and the GDPR, you may request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, and data portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
Send requests to info@ajandekotlettar.hu. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing personal information and will respond within the applicable legal deadlines.
You may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) or another competent supervisory authority.
